ANYA

We have done many experiments looking at soil and how rocks erode. Here we are making rocks out of sand and cement. Once the rocks hardened we shook them in containers to simulate what happens when rocks are in water systems and erode.

On Wednesday we went on our excursion to Moonee Ponds Creek. We learnt about what the creek looked like many years ago and why the banks were concreted over. We drew pictures of what we saw and drew what the creek might have looked like when the Wurundjeri people lived  on the land. We looked at the cliff face and broke pieces off the edges to understand what the rock was made out of. It was a fantastic excursion. Thanks so much to Rosie and Emine for coming along!
